Leaders of regional groups worried over Buhari’s rule of law comment

President Muhammadu Buhari, it was learnt, was welcomed to the United Kingdom by some Nigerians living in London with protests on Tuesday.

The President left Nigeria for the UK on Monday, only to have angry Nigerians who live in London storm front of the Abuja House in Kensington, where the President is staying the next day, protesting and accusing him of being the cause of the ills in Nigeria.

The protesters among other things said Buhari’s failure to address the evils of herdsmen that have left many Nigerians dead and apparent lack of ideas on how to improve the welfare of Nigerians at home were ways he was causing the ills in Nigeria.

The protesters in a video on social media carried placards with different inscriptions depicting the perceived failures of the Buhari administration.

They vowed that they would take their action to the venue of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) next week, which the President will attend and is billed to present a speech.

Meanwhile, Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, has said that the President will not allow himself to be distracted from his mission in London.
