Ese Oruru flown to Abuja with abductor

14-year-old Ese Oruru born in Bayelsa State whose abduction by her supposed lover Yinusa caused national uproar has been air lifted to Abuja in the company of her alleged kidnapper following a directive by the Inspector General of Police Solomon Arase.

According to the Assistant Inspector General of Police Zone 1 Police spokesman, Rabilu Ringim, the duo will be taken to the Inspector General of police and it is expected that the IG hands over the girl to her parents who are expected to be at the force headquarters.

Expressing gratitude over his daughter’s release, Mr. Charles Oruru thanked the media and civil society groups for their efforts at raising awareness over the issue saying nothing could have been achieved without their support.

He said if the matter was left in the hands of the police, the matter would have died a natural death and his daughter would have been lost in Kano.
