Finitri orders wearing of face masks as doctor becomes Adamawa’s second COVID-19 case

Governor Ahmadu Finitri of Adamawa State has ordered compulsory wearing of face masks in public as the state records its second case of the dreaded COVID-19 disease.

Governor Fintiri made this known in a statewide broadcast on Tuesday.

According to him, the new case was a medical doctor at the Mubi General Hospital who contracted the infection without any known foreign travel history.

Fintiri further stated that the new case, who was a returnee from Kano, had no link with the index case, adding that the circumstances surrounding the new case heightened concerns of community transmission of the virus in the state.
