Gunmen kill hotel guest in Ogun
Gunmen have killed a hotel guest, Gideon Ebukwe, in the Sagamu local government area of Ogun State.
The spokesperson for the state police command, Omolola Odutola confirmed the incident in a statement on Wednesday in Abeokuta.
She said the guest was shot dead while trying to escape when the gunmen stormed his room at Ok Winners Hotel, Igbosoro, Igode in the Sagamu LGA.

Odutola said: “The CDC Chairman, Atobatele Igbosoro, reported a case of suspected assassination to the police.
“He said that a group of five unidentified armed men arrived at Ok Winners Hotel in Igbosoro, and attacked a guest, Gideon Ebukwe, whose address was currently unknown.
“At the time of the attack, the hotel staff, mostly women, were locked in another room while the assailants proceeded directly to the guest’s room.
“In an attempt to escape, the guest broke through the ceiling but was chased and shot dead, and his belongings taken away.
“Upon receiving the information, the divisional police officer led detectives to the scene. No arrest has been made, and the body was transported to Jas Medical Mortuary in Ogijo.”
