Inferno at key government offices continues as fire guts CBN office in Jos



A branch of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in Jos, Plateau State, was on Tuesday (today) gutted by fire.

The CBN announced the fire incident in a tweet on its Twitter handle- @cenbank on Tuesday.

The CBN tweet read, “Minor fire outbreak at the Jos branch of Central bank of Nigeria, promptly contained today, April 21, 2020.”

There have been outbreaks of fire in key government offices in this month of April. Among the outbreaks included the one at the Treasury House, a building housing the Accountant General of the Federation’s office; the fire outbreak at the headquarters of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and that of the Independent National Electoral Commission’s office in Abuja just few days ago.
