Aruna Quadri, Segun Toriola, Olufunke Oshonaike are some of Nigerian players who booked their spots in the Round of 16 of the Men’s and Women’s singles at the ongoing ITTF Nigeria Open in Lagos.

Kazeem Makanjuola, Jamiu Azeez Olugbenga and Akpan Cecilia are the other Nigerian athletes already qualified for the round.

They all will be seeking tickets to the quarterfinals when they face their first respective opponents on Saturday afternoon at the Molade Okoya-Thomas Indoor Sports Hall at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.

Top seed Quadri will be facing compatriot Makanjuola in the round of 16, which means it is only possible for five Nigerians to reach the last 8 of the Singles events.
