New setback for APC convention as committee secretary resigns

Senator Ben Uwajumogu has explained why he resigned his appointment as the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention Committee secretary.

Uwajumogu had on Friday night tendered his resignation letter to the John Odigie- Oyegun- led National Working Committee (NEC).

Explaining why he resigned when he spoke with newsmen in Abuja on Saturday, the senator from Imo State, said that he had to resign in order to attend to personal and family matters.

According to him, the date shift for the party convention to June 23, is in clash with his plans to travel to England for the graduation ceremony of his two children.

Meanwhile, the APC has announced Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba as his replacement.
