Ohanaeze insists on referendum, says UN delegation'll soon be in Nigeria

This was even as he hinted that the United Nations would soon send a delegation to Nigeria in order to investigate and address the October 1, ultimatum to Ndigbo living in the North by Arewa youths.

The OYC president who stated this during a Phone-in-program aired by the Abia state-owned radio station on Monday, said that the coming UN visit will be in response to its petition to it as regards the quit notice order.

Isiguzoro, said he was hopeful the visit and its outcome could possibly resolve the current tension in the country once and for all.

According to him, agitations in the country currently would never have come up had it not been for consistent neglects of some ethnic groups in the country both in appointments, employments, sharing formula and in many others.

While he decried the situation where Ndigbo always fall victims of unrest in the north despite their huge contribution to the region’s development, Isiguzoro urged Acting President Yemi Osibanjo to urgently a organise Youth conference to put an end to the ugly development in the country.
