13 students killed as cultists invade Kogi varsity in reprisal attacks

Suspected cult members on Sunday night invaded Azikoro-Agbura, Yenagoa, Bayelsa and killed one Senitonkumo Otu.

The deceased, who was an artisan and in his mid- 30s, was shot dead by the hoodlums near his residence.

An eyewitness told journalists that the victim might have been mistakenly killed for another target by the cultists.

According to him, the cultists were on a mission to search for their target known as “Peerooo” before the deceased accidentally met them and was shot in the process.

He urged the state government and security agents to protect members of the community from the men of the underworld who are now invading the area.

The deceased’s landlord, Mr. Allen Ofoin, described him as a law-abiding and easy-going person.
