The world’s leading video-centric social media platform, Tiktok owned by ByteDance has rolled out new direct messaging features to boost engagement on its platform.

To improve user involvement, the latest update removes the need for third-party messaging apps like Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, and others by facilitating easier connections between friends and family within the platform.

Reports say that the new feature includes highly anticipated group chats that support up to 32 participants on the platform which allows user-generated content in the form of short videos.

The addition of group chats to TikTok has significantly enhanced its direct messaging functionality. It’s now simpler to share and remark on TikTok videos with numerous people at once when users 16 years of age and up may start group conversations.

The group chat function on TikTok adds a new dimension of convenience to the platform, whether you’re organizing a group activity or discussing the newest viral trend.
