Two young men were on Monday set ablaze in Umuguma in the Owerri West local Government area of Imo State for allegedly stealing a brand new motorcycle from a commercial motorcyclist .

An eyewitness told our correspondent that the two men who were in their mid twenties had successfully snatched a brand new motorcycle from a commercial motorcyclist at the ever busy World Bank roundabout, near Owerri, the Imo State capital and were about escaping with the bike when they were intercepted.

They were set ablaze by other commercial motocyclists before security men could arrive at the scene.

When contacted for comments, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Andrew Enwerem, DSP, said his office was yet to be briefed as of the time of filling in this report.
