Athletics chief kidnapped in Port Harcourt

Few days after the 72-year old mother of the Head Coach of the Nigeria U-23 team, Samson Siasia, was kidnapped in Bayelsa State, a board member of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria, Ken Anugweje, has also been kidnapped in Port Harcourt.

Revealing this in a statement, Olukayode Thomas, a board member of the AFN and Head of Media, confirmed the development even as he solicited help from every quarter to facilitate the prompt release of Mr. Anugweje, who is also a professor of medicine

“Prof. Ken Anugweje, a professor of sports medicine and member of AFN board has been kidnapped earlier today in Port Harcourt. The AFN appeals to Nigerians with information to assist security agents to rescue him,” Thomas added.
