CBN to raise $4bn in treasury bills in Q4

A whopping N814.78billion will be auctioned through Treasury Bills by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in the fourth quarter of the year.

Specifically, the apex bank said the auction would take place from September 17 to December 3.

The bank’s data on Friday stated that it will auction N215.14 billion worth of the 3-month paper; N193.64 billion in the 6-month debt and N406 billion worth of 1-year paper.

The bank added that the total debt proposed for the fourth quarter would be 6.66 per cent short of the N872.96 billion raised earlier in the year.
