Gov Fayose alleges DSS plot to detain Bishop Oyedepo, Apostle Suleiman
A motion filed by Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose before an Ekiti State High Court sitting in Ado Ekiti, seeking to stop his investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been refused.
The state’s Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Owoseni Ajayi, who filed the motion, sought an order of the court stopping the EFCC from investigating the accounts of the state government.
Ajayi also sought for an order of the court against the arrest of the state’s Commissioner for Finance, Accountant General and the managers of the affected banks.
The trial judge, Justice Cornelius Akintayo, however ordered the applicant to put the defendants in the case on notice to prepare for defence while adjourning the case to August 23 for the parties to argue the motion.
