The motive behind the attack by Las Vegas shooter, Stephen Paddock, 64, the man who killed more than 58 people when he opened fire at concert-goers from the Mandalay Bay Hotel, is still yet unknown.

Reports say, the FBI and police are still baffled and have therefore called on members of the public to come forward with any useful information that might help solve the mystery.

According to Clark County Undersheriff Kevin McMahill, investigators still remain largely in the dark in a bid to unravel the motive behind the shooters attack after running down more than 1,000 leads.

“We have looked at everything, literally, to include the suspect’s personal life, any political affiliation, his social behaviours, economic situation, any potential radicalisation,” McMahill told reporters. “We are looking at every aspect from birth to death of this suspect and this case.”

Earlier investigations had revealed that Paddock who had an arsenal of at least 42 weapons when he was found dead, also set up cameras in and around his hotel suite.

According to police source, the suspect who later killed himself to avoid arrest had two cameras in the hallway and one in the peephole allowed him to see if “law enforcement or security” were approaching.

Las Vegas cops believe that there was a high degree of planning on the part of the gunman accused of carrying out the worst mass shooting in modern US history.
