FRSC retrieve 5 guns from ghastly auto crash which killed 3 people

Men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) recovered five locally-made AK47 rifles and a magazine in an Audi saloon car which was involved in a ghastly auto crash along the the Mazuga Village, 10 kilometres away from Kachia-Kafanchan Road in Kaduna which claimed three lives.

Mr. Salish Umar Galadunci, the Federal Road Safety Corps’ Sector Head of Operations, Kaduna said the guns were recovered during a rescue operation carried out by the men of the sector command.

He said, “On Saturday, May 12, at Mazuga Village, 10 kilometres from Kachia – Kafanchan Road, an accident occurred involving two vehicles , an Audi Salon car, with number plate AG 601 MKR and an Opel Vectra with no registration number.

Continuing, Galadunci added that; “This happened at about 16.07hrs. Our men quickly rushed to the place and found out that some good Samaritans had already started bringing the victims out of the damaged vehicles. Seven persons were involved, three persons died, while four persons were injured.

“In addition, five locally-made AK47 rifles and a magazine were found in the Audi Salon car, whose driver, Mr. Sabo Goni, was still alive but injured. The police at Kachia were quickly alerted.

“The recovered arms were handed over to the DPO, Kachia Division for further investigation,” Galadunci added.

    We need to know why the weapons are in there, but the police will never finish the investigation. Quite sad!

    They must be criminals, why will they be in possession of guns since they don’t belong to any force in the country.

      They are likely vigilantes or farmers, they are the ones who mostly use local guns. Not everyone who goes about with gun is a criminal.
