The under 20 national team, Flying Eagles of Nigeria, have emerged seven times Africa Youth Champions winner after defeating hosts, Senegal, by a lone goal on Sunday night

A stunning goal from Bernard Bulbwa in the first half was all that was required for Nigeria to lift her 7th AYC trophy.

The two teams had met previously in the competition, when they came face to face two weeks ago in the group opener of the competition with the Flying Eagles taking the upper hand with a 3-1 win.

Nigeria’s captain Musa Muhammed won the tournament’s Most Valuable Player and Highest Goal Scorer’s awards after he scored four goals.
