ITTF Ranking: Aruna Quadri retains top spot in Africa

Aruna Quadri retained his position as the highest-ranked player in Africa according to the latest world ranking of International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).

The Nigerian table tennis was ranked in 26th position in the world.

Quadri had displaced Egypt’s Omar Assar as Africa’s number one last October, and has continued to hold on to the spot.

Assar however maintained his 47th position in the world ranking having dropped drastically after his suspension by the Egyptian Table Tennis Federation.

Nigeria’s other big names, Segun Toriola and Olajide Omotayo were static in their rating.

While Toriola is rated 136 in the world, Omotayo, a semifinalist at the 2018 ITTF African Championship stay on 146th.

In the world, China’s Fan Zhendong hold on to the summit of the Men’s ranking, while Ding Ning is ranked best in the Women’s World Rankings.
