Kaduna govt imposes 24-hour curfew on Kajuru

Governor Nasir El-Rufai-led Kaduna State government has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Kajuru Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.

The development was made public in a terse statement by the state government’s spokesman, Samuel Aruwan.

According to him, the deputy governor, Bala Bantex, directed vigorous enforcement of the curfew and called on the citizens to comply and support peace efforts in the community.

There are rumours that a fresh crisis is looming in Kasuwan Magani, a community in the troubled Kajuru area of the state.

There have been killings in Kajuru in recent times. Recently, a Nigerian and a Briton were killed in Friday’s attack on the Kajuru Castle Resort, a popular resort in Kaduna State.
