Lanre Gentry taunts estranged wife Mercy Aigbe, says a "Bad Wife Kills Faster Than Poverty”

Lagos hotelier Lanre Gentry indirectly mocked his estranged wife Mercy Aigbe when he weighed-in on a question posed on social media by Yoruba actor cum actor/producer, Afeez Owo.

The Yoruba actor cum producer posed the question, “Which one kills a man faster…poverty or Bad wife?” and in his reply Lanre Gentry noted that ” A bad wife kills faster than poverty”.

Months ago, (June to be precise) Lanre Gentry after realising his mistake and the critical situation he is faced with in respect to the court case he is facing with his wife, tendered a public apology to the mother of his son.

Lanre was said to be determined to mend fences with Mercy and reportedly met with family members of his estranged wife in company of his family members to end the feud between them and convince her (Mercy) to drop battery charges against him.

The hotelier reportedly went a step further in an attempt to make peace with his wife by penning a long apology and declaring that he’ll bury whatever hatchet he has with his wife just to allow peace to reign.

A month later, Mercy Aigbe quashed rumours that she had moved back in with her estranged husband after she purportedly reconciled with him.

The thespian denied the claims in an interview with encomium.ng, revealing that that the reports of reconciliation and her moving back into her husband’s house were untrue; “The story is false. We are still in court,” she said.

That was the second time the 38-year-old filmmaker and mother of two, who is embroiled in a bitter spat with her husband of seven years, has denied moving back into her matrimonial home.

Both of you are guilty of the marriage crash, not the woman alone, what do we now say about a woman beater? should we applaud you for beating your wife until her face swelled? Only a coward does that…
