Marseille snatch extra-time winner at Salzburg to set up Atletico final

French Ligue 1 side, Marseille snatched a dramatic extra-time winner in a thrilling semi-final encounter with Red Bull Salzburg to reach the final of the Europa League.

The Austrian side completed an incredible comeback at home as they came from 2-0 down from the first leg to level at 2-2 on aggregate at full time on Thursday night.

It was Amadou Haidara’s poked effort and a Bouna Sarr own goal forced the game into extra time.

Substitute Rolando side-footed the decisive goal in the 116th minute from Dimitri Payet’s corner.

The Portuguese defender’s effort made it 3-2 on aggregate in Marseille’s favour.

Marseille will now meet Atletico Madrid, who saw off Arsenal 2-1 on aggregate earlier, in the final in Lyon on May 16.
