Super Eagles duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho suffered defeat with Leicester City at Wolverhampton wanderers in a Premier League clash on Saturday.

While Ndidi was on from the start of the game, Iheanacho joined in as an 83rd-minute substitute as the Foxes fell 4-3 to their hosts in a very thrilling encounter.

A 94th-minute winner by hat-trick hero Diogo Jota sealed the incredible win for Wolves after Leicester had equalised twice.

Jota was left unmarked in the dying minutes to turn in a Raul Jimenez cross for a win, moving his side to eighth in the Premier League table, a place above Leicester.

The Portuguese forward and Ryan Bennett had put the hosts 2-0 up at halftime, before Demarai Gray’s solo run and finish, and then a Conor Coady own goal levelled for Leicester.

Jota then scored his second of the day, only for Wes Morgan to head a late equaliser as Leicester thought they will earn a point from the clash, before Jota won it for Wolves.

Hat-trick hero Diogo Jota after the game said: “This is the Premier League, every team has quality so it was a very open game, both teams got into the final third easily.

“The amount of goals is normal in a game like this, we could do better not to concede after going ahead but we got the win.

“This is the kind of game I watched as a kid and now I am a part of it.”
