NFF Awards: Ahmed Musa bags double, Onome Ebi emerges best female player
Super Eagles forward, Ahmed Musa has been crowned Nigeria men’s player of the year 2018 as he also bagged the best goal of the year award at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Awards.
The Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia forward beat the duo of Alex Iwobi of Arsenal and Odion Ighalo of Shanghai Shenhua to claim the biggest award of the night.
It was the 2nd AITEO/NFF Football Awards organized by the football body to celebrate Nigerian players and their achievements. The Gala held at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on Monday night.
Super Falcons’ and Henan Huishang of China star, Onome Ebi was crowned the best female footballer of 2018, after her contributions in helping the Falcons win the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations title last December.
A special award was given to the 1994 set of the Super Eagles, with most of the players present at the Gala.
Other dignitaries including eminent football personalities all over Africa and the world and even top politicians across the continent were present.

The governor of Lagos State, His Excellency Akinwunmi Ambode and Late MKO Abiola were also specially honoured.
The first female Secretary General of FIFA, Fatma Samoura who was present at the Awards was also especially honoured
