Atiku promises to stop political harlotry

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has expressed joy over reports that Nigeria has exited recession.

He however said that the real recession is still on as ordinary citizens cannot afford three square meals.
A report by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Tuesday had announced Nigeria’s exit from the economic downturn it has been in for about two years now.

But reacting on that report on his Twitter handle, Atiku, in a series of tweets appreciated the report but said that the only time the real recession will end in the country will be when all “Nigerians can eat three square meals.”

“As a Nigerian, investor and employer of labour, the news of Nigeria’s official emergence from the recession is most welcome.

“The news is surely a boost for Nigeria – it tells investors, local and foreign, that our economy is worth investing in.

“While we rejoice, it’s also important to recognize that economic weakness at the bottom of the pyramid remains. Inflation is still high.

“We must continue working hard to expand economic opportunity for all Nigerians.

“When all Nigerians can eat three square meals, that’s when the real recession ends. We have work to do,” he said.

Thanks Mr Atiku for revealing the truth. Although the Federal government has also admitted that our economy growth remains fragile and vulnerable.

Everything can’t just fall into place just like that, it will take time for things to fall back into shape but that doesn’t mean we are not out of recession as NBS reported. Prices of goods and services can’t just fall that way to the sellers’ detriment.

Attention seeking Atiku should please keep his opinion to himself and may be his family members alone, he was among those who turned Nigeria to what he his today, he cannot use his voice to condemn another administration since he once had the chance to fix the country but he failed to do so
