NSE: Multiverse, Sterling Bank, Access Bank dominate trade as the bourse closes bullish
The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) ressurected from yesterday’s loss with a 0.25% gain in Wednesday’s trading session. The market closed at 26,310.77 basis points. Year to date the market is down by 16.29%

Wednesday’s trading recorded 156.8 million shares valued at N1.8 billion traded in 3,088 deals.
Multiverse Mining & Exploration accounted for the largest trade by volume with 25 million shares worth N5 million traded in 2 deals.
Sterling Bank was next with 19.5 million share valued at N38.4 million traded in 214 deals. 18.7 million Access Bank shares valued at N139.8 million exchanged hands in 171 deals.
Zenith Bank traded 14.5 million shares valued at N245.8 million in 394 deals. UBA rounds up the top 5 trades by volume with 11 million shares valued at N63.4 million traded in 189 deals.

University Press opens the gainers’ chart with a 10% gain to close at N1.21. Law Union and Rock Insurance gained 8.89% to close at N0.49.
UAC Nigeria closed at N6.45, gaining 7.50%. Dangote Cement gained 2.05% to close at N149. Access Bank rounds up the top 5 gainers for today with a 2.04% to close at N7.50.
Top 5 losers
On losing side, Afromedia led losers with a 9.76% to close at N0.37. Flour Mills of Nigeria closed at N14, shedding 9.68%.
Wema Bank lost 6.67% to close at N0.56. Lafarge Africa lost 6.62% to close at N13.40.
Unity Bank who rounded the losers’ chart, closed at N0.59, losing 6.35%.
