Ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s former aide, Reno Omokri, has said that presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, would be the next to secure victory at an election tribunal following the favourable verdict secured by Ademola Adeleke at the Osun State governorship tribunal.

Omkori made the remark via his twitter handle on Friday.

A three-man panel of the tribunal had on Friday (today) following a petition filed by the governorship candidate of the PDP in Osun 2018 governorship election, Senator Adeleke, sacked the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Gboyega Oyetola, who was declared winner of the election and has since been installed as governor.

Omokri joined other PDP leaders like Atiku to congratulate Adeleke and express optimism over ongoing cases at different tribunals.

In his own reaction to the development, Atiku said via his Twitter handle, that, “Truly, the judiciary is the last hope of the common man and the defender of our democracy. Congratulations Sen. Ademola Adeleke, @IsiakaAdeleke1.”

On his part, former Ekiti governor, Ayodele Fayose, said the decision was only the beginning of the losses the APC would suffer in the courts. He said Ekiti State governorship election, as well as the presidential election would also be swung in favour of the PDP.
