Suspected ritualists murder 80-year-old woman, remove body parts

Police Sergeant, kidnapper killed in Anambra gun battle

Barely two weeks after the murder of a 50-year-old woman in Akoko area of Ondo state, another 80-year-old woman, Mrs kajusla Mogaji, was on Friday morning found dead in her house with her breasts removed and body badly severed.

The deceased was gruesomely murdered in lmo quarters in Arigidi Akoko, in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo state, by some suspected ritualists who removed some of her body parts including her breast.

A source who spoke to journalists about the incident described Madam Mogaji, who is a member of the Anglican church as a lovable old woman adding that the rate of killing in the area has been worrisome in the last few months.

Also, one of the deceased daughter, Mrs. Kehinde Adewumi, described the killing of her mother as an act of wickedness.

The Divisional Police Officer for Okeagbe Akoko, SP Ibitayo Adetanranmi who visited the scene of the incident with his team described the killing as unfortunate adding that investigation has commenced into the incident immediately.
