“We have been able to show the world that we have the wherewithal to match any other international competition in the world with the quality of players and organization put together this year.

“So ITTF is not wrong to have upgraded our competition for 2019 because we are ready to improve every year and we have shown again that Nigeria is at par with the rest of the world when it comes to organizing a world class event,” he added.

Nigerian star, Aruna Quadri emerged champion of the Men’s Singles category after defeating Frances’ Antoine Hachard in the final on Sunday, in the presence of Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

Tikon also thanked Ambode for his support and his presence at the finals, adding that this goes to show that the governor is a lover of table tennis.
