Tragedy as another tanker explotion kills many in Lagos

It was another horrible moment in Lagos on Tuesday morning as a fuel tanker exploded along the Lagos Badagry Expressway, killing many in the process.

Though details of the incident are still sketchy, reports have it that many lives were lost just as houses were also burnt in the ensuing inferno.

The tanker exploded beside the office of the Department of State Service (DSS) and the Ojo Military Cantonement, killing many in the process.

The tanker was said to have fallen as a result of the collapsed state of the road and in the process, spilled its content.

The fall resulted in the explosion of the tanker and the burning of other vehicles.

The incident occurred at about 6:45 am Tuesday morning.

Unconfirmed reports have it that apart from the fallen tanker, four other tankers were also burnt and eight vehicles. Occupants of the burnt vehicles are believed to have died in them.

Eye witnesses also claimed that some people, who jumped out of their vehicles on sensing danger, sustained various degrees of injuries.
