Two suspects paraded in court over murder of 7-month pregnant woman

A Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Osogbo, Osun State, has played host to a case of two suspects identified as Fatai Adegoke, (a middle aged man) and a 29-year-old woman, Khadijah Adeleke.

The suspects were paraded in court over the alleged murder of a seven-month pregnant woman identified as one Risikat Adegoke on Saturday, October 27, 2018,

The pair who were brought before Magistrate M. A. Awodele allegedly killed the victim, thereby committing an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 324 of the Criminal Code, even as the plea of the pair was not taken.

Magistrate Awodele ruled that the case be transferred to the Federal High Court for mention on February 10, 2019.

She also told the police to duplicate the case file and send a copy to the office of the state’s Director of Public Prosecutions for advice.
