WEST BANK: Palestinian gunman kills 3 Israeli’s, wounds 1

The West Bank region of the Middle East is boiling again after a Palestinian gunman opened fire on three Israeli citizens at a settlement in Har Adar near Jerusalem, killing three of them and wounding one in the process.

According to an eyewitness who was at the scene of the incident, the gunman had arrived with a group of Palestinian labourers and opened fire on paramilitary Israeli police guards at the illegal settlement near Jerusalem.

The gunman was however shot and killed after the attack, according to Israeli police.

A similar incident happened last year in the month of June when a gun attack by two Palestinians at the popular Sarona Market in Tel Aviv witnessed the killing of four Israeli’s and the wounding of five others.

The shooting occurred at the market near Israel’s defence ministry and main army headquarters.

Following the attack last year, Israel suspended entry permits for 83,000 Palestinians during the holy Muslim month of Ramadan.
