After a-ten-year hiatus, Will Smith is gearing a comeback in the music scene. And he claims to have recorded 30 songs while working in the studio.

As reported by Perez Hilton, the Fresh Prince is going back to his rap root:

Just recently he (Will Smith) was featured on the remix of Colombian band Bomba Estéreo’s song Fiesta.

The 47-year-old hasn’t dropped an album in a full decade, and this new collaboration was the first song he was on — either solo or featured — since 2005.

But now, it turns out the actor is going to Switch back to his rap roots!

On Monday, the Suicide Squad star revealed that not only has he been Gettin’ Jiggy wit It in the studio, he’s already recorded a LOT of tracks, saying:

“I’m pretty much poppin’ in the studio everyday and I’m looking for artists to collaborate with. I’ve probably recorded 30 songs. I have six or seven that I really like.”

Does this mean a new album is on the way? But Smith explains it hasn’t been easy to get back into songwriting:

“I have so many things I wanted to say. I’m struggling with saying them that fit the flavor of the music I turn to.”

But it seems like he’s finally found his voice, because he also announced he’s going to be going on tour with DJ Jazzy Jeff next summer!

And for those of you forgot, Will and Jazzy used to be a hip-hop duo called DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. He opened up about joining forces with his former partner, saying:

“Jeff and I actually have never done a full tour. So I’m looking this summer will be the first time we go out on a full world tour.”
