15 feared dead in Somali hotel bomb attack

A gun and bomb attack at a popular Somali hotel in the capital of Mogadishu initiated by al-Shabab militants has unfortunately claimed the lives of fifteen victims and wounded a dozen more reports say.

The incident occurred after al-Shabab militants fought their way into the popular hotel ramming a car bomb into the gate of the Dayah Hotel, which is near Somalia’s parliament.

After crashing the car bomb into the gate, the assailants then stormed their way inside the hotel exchanging fire with security guards.
