2 IS militants shot dead after stabbing tourists in Egypt

At least two knife wielding IS militants have been shot dead after stabbing two Austrian guests and a Swede when they stormed into a hotel in Egypt’s Red Sea resort of Hurghada.

The attackers were killed by police at the Bella Vista hotel after they stabbed the victims. Reports say the assailants raised the IS flag during the incident which took many unaware.

The BBC’s Sally Nabil in Cairo says security forces are still searching for possible further attackers as Hurghada remains on high alert with all roads in and out closed.
