3 dead as suspected militants abduct Lagos oba

The Iba Community in Iba Council Development area of Lagos State was thrown into disarray last night when  gunmen stormed the community and abducted the traditional ruler, His Royal Highness (HRH) Goriola Oseni.
Reports say the gunmen numbering about 16 stormed the community in two boats and announced their arrival by firing sporadic gunshots into the air which scared residents who scampered for safety.
According to eyewitnesses, the gunmen, who are suspected to be militants, some of them in military and police uniforms shot and killed a member of the local vigilante and also inflicted injury on the wife of the traditional ruler.
At least two other people were reported killed, including a security man attached to the oba’s palace.
The armed men later kidnapped the traditional ruler and they made away with him in their boat through the river in the community
