6 abducted as armed bandits attack girls’ school in Zamfara

Gunmen burn several houses in fresh attack on Plateau community

Suspected bandits have allegedly attacked a school in Zamfara state, abducting six people at Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School in Moriki town of Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

They were reportedly abducted in the early hours of Wednesday.

It was gathered that, the bandits made attempts to break into the hostels after which they whisked six labourers including four men and two women away.

It was also gathered that the attacks have heightened in 2019 despite efforts by the security agencies to address the situation in Zurmi local government area.
