Bauchi gov, Mohammed in self-isolation after coming in contact with Atiku’s son

The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed has gone into self-isolation after coming in contact with the son of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar who has been confirmed positive for coronavirus.

This was revealed on Monday by Ladan Salihu, Chief of Staff to the Bauchi State Governor, who informed that his boss is now in self-isolation after he had contact with Atiku’s son.

According to Salihu in a post on his official Twitter page; the governor and his entourage, had met with the Vice President’s son while on a flight from Lagos to Abuja on Sunday.

He further stated that they have all taken the coronavirus test and are expecting their results.

“Our Governor, Bala Mohammed is in self-isolation following contact with Atiku Abubakar’s son. Yes. We were on the same flight from Lagos to Abuja. They shook hands and exchanged pleasantries.

”The Governor and the rest of us have taken tests. The results will be negative insha Allah,” he added.

On Sunday, Atiku broke the news that his son has tested positive to the deadly coronavirus.

The former number two citizen revealed this himself via his verified Twitter handle, and noted that the relevant authorities have been informed.

He said, “My son has tested positive for Coronavirus.

“@NCDCGov has been duly informed and he has been moved to Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for treatment and management.

“I will appreciate it if you have him in your prayers. Stay safe, Coronavirus is real.”
