The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Douye Diri, has described Saturday’s governorship election as smooth and peaceful.

Diri revealed his thoughts about the poll while speaking with journalists shortly after casting his vote at Polling Unit 4, in Sampou, Kokuma-Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

According to him, the feedbacks from some members of the public indicated that the electoral process had been smooth and peaceful in some areas “although we have received calls on anomalies in some parts of the state.

“We urge the security agencies to be vigilant,” he added.
