BREAKING! Okorocha meets Buhari on Aso Rock

Embattled outgoing Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, on Monday met behind closed doors with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Okorocha’s visit came as his political woes, both at the state and national All Progressives Congress (APC) party continued to get messier by the day.

Why reason for his visit is not public, it is believed that the governor may have come to seek Buhari’s intervention for his many political travails.

Okorocha is currently suspended by the APC over anti-party activities as he openly dumped his party to work for his son-in-law and the Action Alliance (AA) governorship candidate in Imo, Uche Nwosu, during the recently concluded general elections.

Both his son-in-law and the APC lost the election to the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Emeka Ihedioha.

The governor has been crying over the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) denial to present him with Certificate of Return despite being declared winner of Imo West Senatorial District election.

INEC is withholding the certificate on the claim by its returning officer that he was forced to declare Okorocha winner of the Imo West senatorial election under duress.
