Tinubu appoints Muri-Okunola as principal secretary

COVID-19: Lagos extends work-from-home directive

President Bola Tinubu has appointed the Lagos State Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, as his principal private secretary.

The presidency confirmed the appointment in a post on the X platform (formerly Twitter) on Sunday night.

Muri-Okunola was appointed the Lagos Head of Service in December 2018.

He also served as personal assistant to Tinubu during his tenure as Lagos State governor from 2003 – 2005.

The statement read: “Hakeem Muri Okunola appointed Principal Secretary to President Tinubu.

“An astute administrator, former Personal Assistant to President Bola Tinubu when he was governor of Lagos state, and recently Head of Civil Service of Lagos State, Hakeem Muri Okunola brings over 25 years of experience in law and public service to his new role as Principal Secretary to President Bola Tinubu.”
