CALIFORNIA WILDFIRE: Grim search for 993 missing persons continues

Rescue officials have continued a grim search for any signs of the 993 people now listed as missing after the Camp Fire tore through the mountain town of Paradise.

A statement issued by the Butte County Sheriff’s Office revealed that the number of believed missing fell 283 late on Sunday, down from 1,276 people, but gave no other details.

Officials also revealed on Sunday that the remains of 77 people have been recovered.

Scores of residents have been forced to flee the upscale beach community of Malibu in the face of the monster fire storm.

Reports say the inferno was caused by a so-called Camp Fire on a mountain town in California on the night of November 8.
