CBN to assist Kebbi farmers affected by flood

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has stated, that it would provide a helping hand to farmers in Kebbi State whose farms were affected by floods by assisting them to engage in dry season farming.

Mr Paul Eluhaiwe, who led a delegation from the apex bank on a visit to the state’s Governor Atiku Bagudu to commiserate with flood victims, said the bank would work closely with the government to assist farmers, to improve rice production in the state.

He said, “The affected farmers will be provided with high-yielding seeds, fertiliser and agro-chemicals for them to recover from the effect of flood to make up in the dry season farming.’’
