Chocolate City drags American rapper Nas to court

American rapper Nas has been dragged to court by Chocolate city led by M.I Abaga over claims that the rapper didn’t deliver a verse he was paid the sum of N18million for about four years ago.

According to Chocolate City, the American rapper and Mass Appeal Records’ Ronnie Goodman entered into an agreement with it to contribute a verse to a track from M.I and they were paid the sum of $50,000 (about N18million) to deliver the verse.

The details of the deal were that Nas was supposed to mention “M.I, Chocolate City, Nigeria, Queens, New York—NAS’s hometown—, Mandela, Trayvon Martin, and the struggles of Africans and African Americans” in his verse.

Chocolate City Boss, M.I has thus dragged Nas to New York State Supreme Court in his lawsuit for failing to deliver the verse despite payment accusing the rapper and Goodman of fraud.
