The Nigeria Football Federation on Tuesday entered an emergency meeting following the early retirements of Super Eagles duo of Vincent Enyeama and Emmanuel Emenike.

The meeting was necessitated following the stance of the National Sports Commission that the purported Code of Conduct planned by the NFF be suspended while members of the National Assembly called for an enquiry into the crisis.

It was gathered that the NFF President Amaju Pinnick and the General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi were summoned by the Director General National Sports Commission to brief him on what led to the retirement of Enyeama and Emenike from the national team and avoid further resignation of more senior players from the team.

The NFF officials were locked up in discussions over the issue till late night on Tuesday.

Eagles are expected to reconvene in camp on November 9 ahead of the World Cup qualifier against Swaziland on November 13.
