No Sunderland deal for Obasi

Troubled English Premier League side Sunderland will not sign Nigeria forward Chinedu Obasi because he could not prove his fitness.
Obasi, who is a free agent after he was released by German Bundesliga side Schalke 04, has been training with Sunderland with the hope of bagging a deal.

According to the Daily Mail, Sunderland have passed on a chance to sign Obasi after he failed to prove his fitness while they need a player who could walk straight into the team.
The Nigeria international, who holds a German passport, will now seek other options.
