The Sani Abacha Stadium was Thursday filled to capacity as President Muhammadu Buhari’s supporters trooped out in their thousands to hold special prayers for him.

The special prayer session was organised by President Buhari’s Personal Assistant, Broadcast Media, Alhaji Sha’aban Sharada, and Conference of Patriotic Citizens.

The event attracted supporters from across the seven North-West states, comprising youths, men, women and the elderly.

Attendees started making their way into the stadium in their hundreds from as early as 8a.m. carrying banners bearing various messages of support.

With the 25,000-capacity stadium filled, those who could not secure entrance camped outside in a carnival of sorts.

The massive crowd brought commercial activities to a halt in Kano Central Business District, creating impediment to vehicular movement.

Chairman, Kano League of Imams, Falalu Dan’Almajiri, led the supporters in two Rakat special Muslim prayers for the President in sessions lasting a few minutes.

Attendees included Kano political stalwarts, top businessmen, artisans and vagrants.

Following the prayers, the supporters then took to the streets, heading to Government House amidst live coverage from several media outfits.

Buhari is loved by many, no doubt. May he live long to take Nigeria to greater place. He’s our messiah!

That’s not love Mr Man. Nigerians trooped out in thousands to exercise their duty for the nation, not because they love Buhari but they love Nigeria where they live and do business.

This is why the opinions of those who hate Buhari won’t count, more people love him than haters. My prayers for Buhari, stay healthy and keep doing what you’re doing to take Nigeria to greatness

It’s normal for northerners to jubilate over their own son, he is their loved son.
