Hosts Germany out as Spain snatch extra-time winner to reach Euro semis
Spain have advanced to the semifinal of the European Championship after beating hosts Germany in a last-eight encounter on Friday night.
The Spanish team has been nothing but spectacular in the tournament, having clinched three wins from the group stage against Italy, Croatia and Albania.
They went on to get past giant-slayers Georgia in the last 16, and have now beaten the hosts and giants Germany in extra time.

Spain had led 1-0 from the 51st minute through Dani Olmo before Germany forced the game into extratime with an 89th-minute equaliser through Florian Wirtz.
Mikel Merino then scores the winner on 119 minutes to seal the victory and send his team to the last four of the European Championship.
Spain defenders Robin le Normand and Dani Carvajal are both suspended for the semi-final against either France or Portugal.
France and Portugal will play in the other quarter-finals clash later on Friday.
