Real reason Buhari wants me jailed –Metuh

Former Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh’s hope of travelling abroad for medical treatment has again been dashed.

This came as the Court of Appeal in Abuja on Wednesday dismissed an appeal by Metuh filed before it praying for the release of his travelling documents.

The appellant court held that the appeal by Metuh constituted an abuse of court process because he failed to disclose verifiable medical reasons for seeking to travel abroad for treatment.

Metuh had ran to the Appeal Court for the request after a Federal High Court presided over by Justice Okon Abang refused him of the prayer.

Metuh’s travelling documents were seized following charges filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC’s) against his company, Destra Investments Limited and himself relating to alleged money laundering and fraudulent receipt of N400 million from the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) on November 22, 2014, for PDP campaign activities.
