PDP groans under heavy litigation, legal adviser demands N60m

The Peoples Democratic Party is currently groaning under huge cost of litigation, SUNDAY PUNCH learnt on Saturday.

Investigations by The PUNCH correspondent showed that there were more than 70 cases instituted against the party by its aggrieved members across the country.

It was gathered that some of them had received favourable garnishee order from courts.

Sources close to the national leadership of the party told The PUNCH correspondent on condition of anonymity, which the party was doing everything within the law to remove what he called “the encumbrance” that could work against it ahead of the 2019 general elections.
