ELECTIONS: PDP warn Army Chief, Buratai

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said the confession by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, that the nation’s health sector had gone comatose has confirmed the failure of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

The SGF was quoted to have said on Thursday at a meeting with the leadership of the National Assembly:

“I can tell you for sure, I never knew that our entire healthcare infrastructure was in the state in which it is until I was appointed to do this work.”

Reacting in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, on Friday the PDP claimed that the alleged comment by Mustapha also served as a further vindication of its stand that the Buhari administration remained the saddest chapter our national history.

The party said the confession of the SGF, who serves as the very engine room of the Buhari administration, further vindicates “our position that President Buhari is running an incompetent administration that thrives only on propaganda and false performance claims, while the nation is left in pains, trauma and agony.”

Meanwhile, Mustapha, who is also the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 chairman said during a briefing on Friday, that he was quoted out of context in the Thursday comment.
